HEALTH MAINTENANCE PROGRAM
FOR INDEPENDENT RESIDENTS

The Health Maintenance Program is available to residents in our independent apartments. This program is based on a proactive approach to healthy living with the goal of maintaining independence. Residents may enroll in the program because they require a personal care service or because they want to work with a health professional in coordinating their health care needs. Some of the personal care services available include bathing assistance, restorative exercise, medication assistance, and assistance in managing health care appointments. All participants receive ongoing monitoring of their functional, mental, and medical status, as well as the peace of mind of oversight by a Registered Nurse.

Negotiated Services include:

• Restorative Exercise
• Bathing Assistance
• Supervised Medication
• Daily eye drops by licensed nurse
• Licensed Nurse Interventions (ear irrigation, wound care, injections, enemas, mediset assistance, MD calls, etc.)
• Daily assistance with TED Hose
• Daily assistance with hearing aid
• Frequent reminders for daily activities (meals, medications, beauty shop, etc.)

EXERCISE:

• Offered 5 days a week featuring Tai Chi, stretching, flexibility and balance
• "Zoo Walkers" program located across the street at Woodland Park Zoo
• Exercise machines are available on Ground Floor
• Pool table
• Restorative exercise program available for individual needs
