CURRENT FEES EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2008:
Norse Home Retirement Community is unique in that it does
not require a “buy in” or large entry fee thus
allowing residents complete freedom in their choice of residency
or termination without a financial sacrifice. There is only
a non-refundable $1,250.00 room renovation fee with no security
deposit.
The basic monthly residential charge includes three meals
a day, once a week housekeeping and change of linens, all
utilities including local phone calls, a personal emergency
response system, activity programming, services of a social
worker, and availability of licensed nursing staff for consultation
on health issues and emergency care. Additional personal services
such as supervised medications are available at an extra charge.
Based on an assessment by the nursing and social services
staff, a resident may be placed in the Assisted Living Program.
The needs and care to be provided are set forth in a Negotiated
Service Agreement with daily costs clearly stated which replaces
the monthly charges. The 12-unit Skilled Nursing Facility
is intended primarily for short term stays by our residents
and is not uncommon for residents to return to a lesser care
status after recovery from a downturn in their health.
